| 6. Extending tourist Visa (not more than 150 days in one Visa year). |

- Late Fees:-Nepalese currency equivalent to U.S.Dollars 2 per person for first 30 days in addition to US $ 30.00. From 31st day to 90 days, additional US $ 3. Dollars 3 per person per day and after 90 days, additional U.S. $ 5 per person per day.
- For staying irregularly without visa, the Director General may impose fine according to the Immigration Act.

| 7. Commercial Visa |

9. Residential Visa
(a) Foreigner who wants to live in Nepal without doing any business. |
- 4 copies of application form as per schedule -4 of Immigration Rules with Photograph, 3 copies of form for renewal.
- Bank statement showing deposit of at least U.S Dollars 20,000.
- Postage stamp of Rs.5.
- Certificate having regular income of at least U.S. Dollars 20,000
per year.
- Letter of personal character and behavior in the past.
- No objection letter issued by the concerned country or embassy.
- Health certificate issued by T.U. teaching hospital.
- The evidence of completing 60 years (or) if the age is more than 60, a letter issued by the government of the concerned country of the concerned diplomatic mission stating that he/she is retired person .
- One copy of the page of Passport containing personal detail of the passport holder.
- One copy of latest Visa.
- The application form filled in by the applicant has to be received at this Department, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from the Mission, which has recommended for the residential visa.

| b) The Visa for person and his family who invests a minimum of One hundred thousand U.S Dollars or other equivalent currency at once in industrial business of Nepal. |

| 10. Non-residential Nepalese Visa |

to the Nepalese Mission abroad or directly to the Department of Immigration.
- 1 copy of the certificate of relationship issued by the concerned authority or the recommendation letter of the Royal Nepal Embassy or mission of the concerned country.

| 11. Non Tourist Visa |
- Person asking for non-tourist visa on the basis of marital status, 4 copies of application form as per schedule-2(a) of Immigration Rules, for other had to submit 4 copies of application form as per schedule -2 of Immigration Rules with photograph; and 3 copies of form for renewal.
- Work Permit or labor permit or contract letter.
- Letter of the concerned Ministry to issue non-tourist Visa.
- 1 copy of the page containing personal details of the passport holder.
- 1 copy of the latest Visa.
- Authentic source for expenditures to be incurred in Nepal.
- Persons asking for non-tourist Visa on the basis of relationship must submit 1 copy of the certificate of relationship between the foreigner and his/her Nepalese relative issued by the concerned authority and a copy of the citizenship certificate of the Nepalese relative.
- While issuing non-tourist Visa to Chinese citizen of the Tibetan origin on the basis of relationship, a copy of the letter of VDC/Municipality / Sub-Municipal Corporation /Municipal Corporation /District Administration Office or Chinese Embassy in Nepal certifying that he/she is a relative of the Nepalese citizen.
- Persons asking for non-tourist Visa on the basis of press have to submit a copy of Press Representative Certificate issued from the Department of Information, and letter of recommendation for Visa written by the Ministry of Information and Communication or the Department of Information.

(a) If a non-tourist Visa up to a period of 30 days has to be issued, US Dollars 25 or the equivalent convertible currency.
(b) For foreigners of Nepalese origin and foreign passport holder children of Nepalese father or mother Nepalese currency equivalent to US Dollars 5 per month.
(c) For authorized journalist, Nepalese currency equivalent to US Dollars 10 per month.
(d) Nepalese currency equivalent to US Dollars 20 Per month for foreigners having work permit to work in contract with HMG or an organization having full ownership of HMG or any Chinese citizen residing in Nepal since 1989 getting involved in any business transaction.
(e) While issuing non-tourist Visa to a foreigner getting married to a Nepalese woman, Nepalese currency equivalent to US Dollars 20 per month.
(f) For other foreigners, Nepalese currency equivalent to 60 US Dollars per month for the first year and equivalent to US Dollars 100 per month from the second year.
(g) Nepalese currency equivalent to US Dollars 5 per month to Chinese Citizen of Tibetan origin coming to Nepal to meet his /her relative.

- For the first time in the Visa year, US Dollars 30 for a period of
60 days, for second time onwards in the same Visa year, US Dollars 30
for 30 days. However, no Visa fee shall be charged for citizens of the
SAARC countries and citizen of the People's Republic of China and tourists
coming to Nepal for duration of three days or less than that and tourist
coming again in the same Visa year who has spent a time of 15 days earlier
in Nepal in one Visa year.
